The Grimoire: What’s up in Gaius Town?
Okay, we all know that the club quarters have been a little tight lately. And even the plumber magicians haven’t been able to figure out where that leak in the library is coming from.
But that will no longer be a problem!
Introducing the shiny new headquarters for the Magician’s Club, your home for all the latest and greatest in queer magical stories!
Don’t worry. You’ll still get your monthly updates here, but if you enjoy my work and want unlimited access to my work, my new community is where it’s at.
And it’s MORE than just a place for you to read. I’ll be sharing life updates, story inspiration, and…well, check out the list below.
- Unlimited access to all my work as it’s published (or earlier, wink wink)
- Personal art, such as art of characters up to no good (what am I saying, they’re all good bebes…even the thieving robot girl)
- Help me pay my ever growing medical bills (that’s a benefit, right?)
- Give your input on how the community grows in the future
- Be in-the-know about all the inside jokes
Okay, you get the picture. I really hope you’ll join us because this place is pretty echoey and talking to my echo is going to get old real fast (they always interrupt me!).
What I’m working on daily?
Planning work for Tales of a Vernian Youth Tale 5 has begun. I’m currently outlining, which takes where I do all my developmental editing, so it takes many drafts and a lot of time. The good news is that all that effort makes the writing process incredibly smooth, so I’m looking forward to writing faster.
I finessed this process when planning my newest story, Manifestation of Prophecy (which updates twice a week) and writing that has been a dream! The scenes are already in my head now, and it’s just a matter of getting them down on paper…er, digital paper.
I’m also hard at work getting 2 novellas and the 1st “book” of Tales of a Vernian Youth ready for print and ebook distribution. That process is slow going. I have the novellas back from my editor, so it’s only a matter of time (and patience, which I sometimes lack).
The goal is to get these 3 publications done by the end of the year.
Oh, and for you A Little Bit of Chaos Theory fans, don’t worry. I haven’t forgotten you, but a quick reply to this email could make a big difference. 😉
This is a new section that I’ll keep brief, but several fans have expressed an interest, so here we go.
I was somewhat recently diagnosed with small fiber neuropathy, which has been the cause of the nerve pain (burning, stinging, tingling, etc) that now affects most of my body. My doctor wants to try an (immunoglobulin) infusion therapy, and I’m in the process of getting that approved by insurance. Well, trying desperately to, anyway. I’ll spare you the details of that fun!
My cat, Lost (yes, that’s his name), got a new toy and is jumping around like a kitten again. When he gets bored of it, I change the attachment to another that’s exactly the same except a different color, and he acts like it’s a whole new toy. He loves play time!
