July 2015

Another month, another art piece.

I spent most of the month doing lineart for JACK, and upcoming comic that I hope to begin updating in January 2016.  I’ve taken a break from Anthocyanin because it was a short-term project with no real substance to follow up on.  I will return to it at some point in the near future and continue work on it, but JACK just seems more fun and expandable (because I have so much background content to use for it).  I spent two weeks of July in Seattle, Washington.  I learned a lot of science & statistics while I was there, but I also got to see some amazing art and architecture.  It was really inspirational.

This month’s piece is not the best figure drawing ever.  It was just a quick sketch that I fleshed out roughly.  But the color was something I’ve been looking into for a while.  I really wanted to try out a couple new coloring techniques, and THIS is one of them.  The coloring turned out pretty nice.  I also am trying out a new Android App for my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition tablet, called Autodesk Sketchbook Pro.  They have many of the features  I love about Photoshop Touch without the shitty line quality.  The only downside is my limit to the number of layers I can use vs the size of my canvas.

Check it out, and I hope you like it.
